The German/Swiss NGO Libereco previously organized projects in which war histories were incorporated into comics and graphic narratives. The latest project is Scars of Strength. In this project, 14 young people from Ukraine, Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan shared their war experiences. This was done as an oral history project called "To tell OUR stories: youth memories on refuge and resilience" Due to the topicality of recent affairs in Syria, we chose to publish My Jasmine Diary. It is an eyewitness story by the Syrian Inanna, about a chemical attack during the first phase of the fight against the Assad regime. The illustrations are made by the Ukrainian artist Sofiia Runova.
