Since 2016 Mirjam Wenzel has been the director of the Jewish Museum in Frankfurt, the eldest Jewish museum in Germany. She is the author and co-publisher of books and catalogues about German-Jewish art and culture history. Her publications include articles, essays and blog posts on cultural theory, aesthetic and museological questions, on the representation of the Holocaust in the visual arts, photography and film, and on critical theory. She is also a curator and has designed several international exhibitions.
