In 2012 Joost Pollmann organized the exhibition with participating artists from nine Arab countries 'Chouf! Qra! - Comics & cartoons in the Arab world'. The comics and cartoons he showed at the Press Museum in Amsterdam contained many references to the so-called Arab Spring that started blossoming a year earlier.
