The summer of 2020, much like the summers before it, was hot and dry in Germany. Nino Bulling explores the countryside in Brandenburg, north of Berlin, and notices changes brought about by the ongoing drought: the fall of the groundwater level, drying out of swamps and kettle basins and slow disappearance of species.
