In 2014 the Islamic terrorist group Boko Haram extended their activities from Nigeria to neighboring countries, including Cameroon, to found a caliphate like Isis in Iraq and Syria. That’s when an elite group of the Cameroonian army BIR took action, eliminated the jihadists and liberated the hostages on Nigerian territory.
