Menah Wellen (1989) is a visual notes artist, comic artist, and illustrator from Amsterdam. She draws live visual reports at various events, from conferences and meetings to podcast recordings and film sets. Over the past decade, she has made visual notes her core business, driven by a firm belief in the value and power of drawing as a form of journalism.Menah won the Fiep Westendorp Prize in 2011. She has worked for clients such as One World, Aidsfonds, Vrouwen In Beeld and De Stripdagen Haarlem. She had a two year running visual column about human rights issues in Amnesty's Wordt Vervolgd magazine. Besides her own visual notes work, she has also been part of the team of Getekend Verslag since 2013.
