Heleen Croonen (1975) started her career as a pharmacist in a hospital in Purmerend. Before she was thirty she took a turn to journalism and worked at the Pharmaceutical Journal in Den Haag and next at the doctors journal Medisch Contact. At the moment she is the health editor of Plus Magazine. This is the biggest monthly magazine in the Netherlands. The target audience are people over 50, the age when life tends to get more interesting.
Three years ago Heleen started drawing and painting. Last year she’s been posting an artwork on Instagram every day. Last summer she had her first exhibition. Now she’s combining the two: journalism and drawing.
