Ariel Sophia Bardi is a multimedia journalist and academic focused on culture and conflict, particularly on disputed cultural heritage. She has reported from Armenia, Lebanon, Kyrgyzstan, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Israel and the West Bank, Kenya, Uganda, and Mexico for outlets like Atlas Obscura, Foreign Policy, The Guardian, Al Jazeera, Columbia Journalism Review, and many more. She received her Ph.D. from Yale University in 2015 and is currently at work on a book about nationalism.
