Ani Asatryan

Ani Asatryan is an Armenian writer working across fiction and cross-media practice. Her work has appeared in Absinthe: World Literature in Translation (University of Michigan Press), MOST Magazine, and Versopolis Poetry Expo. Her fiction “I’m Not Going to Die,” translated by Adrineh Der-Boghossian, was published in Words Without Borders. Her graphic narrative One Meme Away from War, created with Astghik Harutyunyan, was published in Drawing the Times. Her work is taught at the University of California, Berkeley; the University of Basel; and the American University of Armenia. Her graphic narrative Last Night on Earth, developed within the EU Creative Europe programme, was presented at the Frankfurt Book Fair. Her work is held in the collections of the New York Public Library, Columbia University, and the University of Michigan. She is the author of the novel Inimitable.
Astghik Harutyunyan is a comic artist. Astghik studied comics art at École Européenne Supérieure del’Image, animation at Banzay production, worked as artist for animations, games and films. Presented her works at Angouleme comics festival. She co-created Tales of Neto games, which was presented at Luka games and comics festival and won special NICE awards. Her works were presented at Katapult expo at HayArt cultural center, Reanimania Comics and Animation festival and were published at Yerevan Journal and Aravot newspaper. She now works at TUMO technological center’s academy as an expert-trainer.
