Drawing the Times goes Dutch Design Week

Drawing the Times goes Dutch Design Week!

Drawing the Times will be (omni)present at the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven, The Netherlands this year. The biggest design event in Northern Europe will take place from October 21 through October 29. The Dutch Design Week concentrates on the designs of the future. The emphasis is on experiment, innovation and cross-overs. Drawing the Times will introduce the public to the new world of visual journalism.

There will be a publication in the Eindhovens Dagblad every day, along with a special edition of 16 pages that will be handed out during the DDW. Furthermore young, talented graphic journalists will be drawing and reporting during the event. The process and the results can be seen at the Drawing the Times stand in the Klokgebouw.

Tired of the news? Don’t agree with the stories that are told? Or do you just have a story to share? Take the opportunity to meet with a graphic journalist and have your idea for a story worked out in drawings! There will also be lectures by people working in the field of graphic journalism that will give insight in the medium. They will answer questions such as “how does the analogue technique of drawing combine with advanced digital technologies?”

In the run-up to and during the Dutch Design Week we’ll keep you posted with blogposts about the things that are going on. Want to stay updated? Keep an eye out for our website!
