Innocent Drawing

A group of artists in The Hague: Babette Wagenvoort, Frits Dijcks and Erik-Jan Ligtvoet initiated Innocent Drawing because they felt the need to draw for a ‘good cause’. They have started by drawing postcards for prisoners of conscience that are sent via Amnesty International. The drawings are innocent, i.e. they can’t have political meanings, because they might not reach the prisoners otherwise. This coming year Innocent Drawing focusses in five drawing sessions on cases that are chosen by Amnesty . In the future they might draw for other initiatives and causes as well. The Innocent Drawing sessions are open to all drawing professionals.
