Yamuna Matheswaran uses art and writing to explore diverse themes of travel, gender and culture. Born and raised in seven cities across India, she has since lived in the United States (to study), Jerusalem (to volunteer) and, currently, Germany (still figuring out what she’s doing here). Her travels have made evident the similitude of human nature regardless of superficial differences.
She has a Master’s in International Studies from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies, University of Denver, with a focus on gender and development. She also enjoys photography and dismantling stereotypes.
