Fred is a professor of Illustration at (RISD) the Rhode Island School of Design (his alma mater) in Providence, Rhode Island. He was for a long time, a professor and department chair at Montserrat College of Art, and he continues to teach for their Summer Studies Program in Italy. When not teaching, he creates artwork and illustrations that are published and exhibited all over the world. Fred and his work have been featured on the Travel Channel. Fred grew up in Cumberland, Rhode Island and now lives outside of Boston, Massachusetts with his wife Karen, and two sons, Henry and Owen.
